If you're not getting good results on the coordinate quiz, try training to identify which area of the board a coordinate belongs to by dividing the chess board into four quadrants.
Once you can do this quickly, you'll be able to use anchor points to efficiently identify coordinates.
This technique is taught at 5th Kyū.
