By adopting this opening, Black is free to choose their setup, so in most cases I end up responding flexibly to my opponent.
However, in my view, one advantage is that I can delay committing to a fixed pawn structure.
In my case, I almost always fianchetto in the Reti, so the resulting pawn structures often transpose into ones I’m already very familiar with.
I believe that consistently steering the game toward familiar pawn structures also makes blindfold play easier.
While the wide range of possible responses from the opponent can make it challenging—since each game can unfold differently—I find this opening far from boring and enjoyable to play👍
I thought this was the king's indian but with white I like it as well ot is a good opening for both black and white that can be played against any opening
